Collaboration – an example of Business Village working together

One of the ways local businesses can benefit from their time with Business Village is through collaborations with other members, sharing their own skills to deliver a mutually beneficial product or service.

One such collaboration resulted in the creation of this website. Together, Martin Warnes (responsible for brand development), Rose Somerset (a local photographer and web copywriter), and Martin Jarvis (a WordPress expert and web developer) worked together to create a website that represents the essence of our friendly group of Swindon networkers.

Rose Somerset

Rose Somerset - Snowballworks. Photographer and web contentSnowballworks produces photography and  copy for websites. Photography is at the heart of the Snowballworks service. We capture the essence of your business with fresh dynamic images. However, what makes us different is that while we are with you to take photos we also gather the information to write the copy. The images and the text work together to convey a clear and compelling message about your business.

It has been a pleasure to photograph the meetings for this website. I have been coming to Business Village since I launched Snowballworks in September 2011 and from the outset I have  been impressed with the warm welcome and support I’ve received. I have found business partners, suppliers and customers from amongst the Business Village members but more importantly it’s been a great source of encouragement, information and advice. Every meeting its different, something interesting happens every time.

Martin Jarvis

Martin Jarvis - WordPress website designerMartin delivers great websites for clients not just in the Swindon area, but all over the World including France, Italy, Finland and USA.

With over 30 years software development and project management expertise behind him, and with his company operating successfully for over 25 years, Martin is ideally positioned to offer a stable, reliable and trustworthy web development service, wherever your potential customers are.

I have been attending Swindon Business Village since 2010, and am delighted to have been involved in building this website (which, for those interested, is a WordPress website incorporating BuddyPress for the social elements). I work alone in my business for most of the time, so meeting people face-to-face at Business Village not only provides me with a vital opportunity to meet new clients, but also ensures my ‘social business’ skills are kept current – something that is not always easy in today’s internet World.
