About this event
This presentation explains how marketing has changed since the advent of the internet and its implications for small business owners. It’s based on Chris Kent’s book “21st Century Marketing: What it is, why it matters and how to do it”.
During this presentation, Chris explain how the world of marketing has changed and what we need to do as small business owners to generate that all important word of mouth in the complex modern marketing landscape.
I specialise in micro-business marketing and that’s the subject of my book, I am a published author on the subject and have a Master’s degree in Digital marketing as well as being a chartered marketer and chartered manager. I am also part way through my research based PhD exploring how the digital marketing skills gaps impact micro-business performance.
You can find out more about me at my author’s website www.chriskent.com.
Who will benefit from attending?
Entrepreneurs and small business owners who either manage the marketing function in their business or actually have to do all the marketing themselves.
What will attendees learn?
The top three learning points are:
- How technology has changed consumer behaviour
- What small business owners need to do to respond to these marketing challenges
- Precisely where word of mouth is generated in the business cycle and what we need to do as small business owners to maximise positive word of mouth opportunities to help promote our businesses
Plus, of course, we’ll have round table intros, breakfast and networking.
The meeting closes at 9-00 but informal networking continues well beyond that time.
Come along and join us – you will be most welcome.
Business Village is a great way to network and to develop your business and your personal skill. Come along and try us out. Just pay on the day.
